Toki-Sen
Since established in 1984, TOKI SEN-I has produced knitted fabric to provide the highest quality and comfortable textile and clothes. Their mill located in the KISHU area, in the beautiful Wakayama prefecture, houses TSURI knitting machines made over 100 years ago in Europe. The fabrics they produce with the TSURI knitting machines are knitted slowly, gently and filled with fresh air. It requires a longer knitting time than ordinary circular knitting machines resulting in no needless tension applied to the yarn. Their fabric becomes more comfortable each time you wash it, a special feature of the TSURI fabrics. TOKI SEN-I endeavour to keep all their actvities environmentally conscious.
Harris Tweed
Halley Stevensons have pioneered the development of waxed cotton to this day, with the first patent being awarded in 1910, for "cleaning and water-proofing textiles". Situated in The Baltic Works site in Dundee, Scotland, they have been manufacturing textiles since 1864, beginning life as a Jute mill and soon evolving into Dyeing and Finishing. The beauty of their waxed cotton is its durability and longevity, it is built to last. The fabrics are breathable, the wax adjusting to ambient temperature to be softer/more breathable in warm weather and stiffer/more windproof in cold conditions.
