The collection includes Joiner Jacket, Machinist Jacket, and Painter Jacket. Developed through a close collaboration between the two companies, the jackets offer the same quality and craftmanship that the savvy craftspeople imbues their creations with.‍ The collaboration launched at 3daysofdesign in 2023, with a manifestation of the companies’ fabrication processes working from 2D to 3D exhibited as a deconstructed timeline in celebration of the locally produced.

David Thulstrup x Artikel København
‘Transition’ was launched in 2020, as a limited-edition collection by architect and designer David Thulstrup, and Artikel. Rooted in the need to constantly switch between formal and informal settings, Transition orchestrates new norms when it comes to work attire.‍ “For me, the boundaries between work and free-time are blurred. In reality, there is no clear cut between the two. As I constantly find myself moving in and out of different settings during the course of a day, this collaboration is very personal to me. Meetings are followed by casual dinner parties—but since it is not in my nature to wear a suit or blazer, I was lacking an alternative and versatile uniform that always makes me feel dressed appropriately”, explains David Thulstrup.‍ The collection takes point of departure in the traditional worker’s jacket and features four minimalist adaptations that vary in length, colour, and material. Taking formal and informal scenarios as the guiding principle of how to dress, the jackets can be worn separately as stand-alone pieces or put together as a layered uniform.
&tradition x Artikel København
&Tradition is a furniture brand, built on a Danish legacy of craftmanship and design. They represent, among others, Arne Jacobsen, Verner Panton and Jørn Utzon. In-line with &tradition’s commitment to reducing surplus material while supporting the creative community, the Quarter Past Noon apron re-purposes offcut leather from their furniture production. Collaborating with Artikel København, a family-run clothing company based in Copenhagen, the apron combines functionality with meticulous craftsmanship. Featuring adjustable leather straps, a utilitarian single pocket and a two-tone design with raw edges, the colour palette for the 50 handmade aprons ranges from classic Cognac Brown and Charcoal Black to Bright Green and Steel Blue. Embodying creativity and practicality, each apron can be used in the kitchen or workshops alike.
Mads Nørgaard x Artikel København
In 2022, Artikel moved its production into the well-known window in the store Nørgaard on Strøget for two weeks. Together with Nørgaard, two jackets were designed in collabortion.‍ “I have long been a fan of Artikel’s simple design, and at the same time impressed that they produce locally in Copenhagen. We produce our #101 t-shirt ourselves in Denmark, – therefore it feels natural to invite Artikel into our window, where the sewing will then take place and tailored jackets for the next two weeks. As something unique Artikel will produce jackets in the striped textile in pure wool we have developed in collaboration with Kvadrat. We often have both art, concerts and clothes in our beautiful window, as far as you remember this is the first time real production has taken place in the window – and we are looking forward to it!” - Mads Nørgaard
